SCYNEXIS swings to second-quarter profit, guides Phase 1 SCY-770 data in Q3 2026
SCYNEXIS reported a second-quarter net profit of $7.40 million, or $0.63 per share, swinging from a net loss of $6.89 million, or $1.11 per share, a year earlier. License agreement revenue fell to $0.24 million from $1.36 million. The company said its Phase 1 study of SCY-770, an investigational AMPK activator for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease, will deliver topline data in the third quarter of 2026, with a Phase 2 proof-of-concept trial set to begin in the fourth quarter and an early efficacy readout expected in the second half of 2027. SCYNEXIS also completed dosing in the Phase 1 study of the IV formulation of SCY-247 and expects topline data in the third quarter. Cash, cash equivalents and investments totaled $71.1 million as of June 30, providing a runway into 2029. Shares rose 2.81% to $5.30 in after-hours trading.
