Rocket Lab Launches 96th Electron Mission for Synspective

Rocket Lab Corporation successfully launched its 96th Electron mission, delivering the 12th StriX satellite for synthetic aperture radar company Synspective into an exact 572km low Earth orbit. The 'Owl By The Dozen' mission lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 3:22pm NZST on September 19, 2026, marking Rocket Lab's 17th launch of 2026 and extending its 100% mission success record across its multi-year launch partnership with Synspective. Electron's Kick Stage placed the satellite with pinpoint accuracy, maximizing on-orbit lifetime and supporting immediate integration into Synspective's Earth-monitoring constellation. Rocket Lab has 15 additional dedicated Electron missions manifested through the end of the decade to complete Synspective's commercial SAR constellation. With 17 launches completed so far in 2026, Electron continues to lead the global commercial small-lift sector in frequency and reliability.

CACI Wins $1.50 Billion Apollo Award and Vantor Space Imaging Deal

CACI International announced a one-year plus four option periods US$1.50 billion-ceiling Apollo award to support U.S. Central Command, alongside being selected by Vantor to provide optical imaging payloads for its planned Vantor Pulse satellite fleet. The Apollo award strengthens near-term revenue visibility and fits a pattern of federal customers consolidating critical work with fewer providers on large, multi-year frameworks, though it does not remove risks around federal budget volatility and contract timing. CACI's narrative projects $12.2 billion revenue and $727.8 million earnings by 2029, requiring 8.3% yearly revenue growth and a roughly $192 million earnings increase from $535.8 million today. Some of the most optimistic analysts already expected CACI to reach about US$12.7 billion of revenue and US$862 million of earnings before this news. The company's forecasts yield a $724.50 fair value, a 16% upside to its current price.

Genenta-Backed Sòphia HT Hardware Flies on VEGA-C VV30 Launch

Sòphia High Tech S.r.l., the Italian aerospace and defense manufacturer in which Genenta Science S.p.A. made a strategic investment in 2026, contributed to the manufacture of the Spring Assembly used in the second and third stage separation system of the VEGA-C launcher that lifted off at 03:21 CEST on September 15, 2026 from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. The VV30 mission carried two European Earth observation satellites built by Thales Alenia Space into a Sun-synchronous orbit: Copernicus Sentinel-3C, the third satellite of the Sentinel-3 mission of the European Union's Copernicus program, and FLEX, the eighth Earth Explorer mission developed under the European Space Agency's FutureEO program. The Spring Assembly, installed in the interstage connecting the Zefiro 40 second stage to the Zefiro 9 third stage, releases stored elastic energy to initiate separation of the exhausted second stage from the third stage, and Sòphia HT has been in serial production of the component since 2018. Genenta, which is evolving into Saentra Forge, a strategic industrial consolidator focused on aerospace, defense, national security and biotechnology, said the component reflects the flight-qualified engineering capability it seeks to back as it builds a listed, long-term Italian platform, according to CEO Pierluigi Paracchi. Sòphia HT CEO Antonio Caraviello said every Spring Assembly delivered for VEGA-C since 2018 must meet the same requirement of an identical mechanical response flight after flight.
