Amgen IncTezspire meets primary goals in EoE study, expanding its potential.
AstraZeneca and its partner Amgen announced positive top-line results from the late-stage CROSSING study, which evaluated Tezspire in adults and adolescents with eosinophilic esophagitis, meeting all primary and secondary endpoints. Tezspire, a first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting TSLP, achieved statistically significant improvements versus placebo on both co-primary endpoints—histologic remission and dysphagia symptoms—at week 24, with effects sustained through week 52. This marks the third indication where Tezspire has shown efficacy, following severe asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. The companies are also advancing label-expansion studies in COPD. Year to date, AstraZeneca shares have fallen 9.6%, while Amgen shares have gained 34.5%.
