Samsonite Group S.A. designs, manufactures, sources, and distributes luggage, business and computer bags, outdoor and casual bags, and travel accessories across Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America. Its products are sold under brands including Samsonite, Tumi, American Tourister, Gregory, High Sierra, Kamiliant, Saxoline, Secret, Lipault, and Hartmann, along with other owned and licensed names. Distribution runs through wholesale channels as well as company-operated retail stores and e-commerce. The company was formerly known as Samsonite International S.A. and changed its name to Samsonite Group S.A. in January 2025; it was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in Luxembourg, Luxembourg.

Samsonite to Acquire BÉIS for $210 Million

Samsonite Group S.A. has agreed to acquire digitally native lifestyle and travel brand BÉIS, LLC. for approximately $210 million. The luggage maker will pay $178.5 million in cash for an 85% stake, funded through cash on hand and available borrowing capacity under its revolving credit facility. Founder Shay Mitchell will retain a 15% ownership stake after rolling over about half of her existing equity and will continue guiding the brand's creative and product vision. BÉIS will operate as a standalone brand within Samsonite Group, led by CEO Adeela Hussain Johnson and its existing management team. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026 and have minimal impact on profitability at closing, with potential operating efficiencies over time.
