Howa Machinery, Ltd. manufactures and sells machine tools, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, electronic machines, sweepers, metal joinery fittings, and firearms in Japan. Its machine tools include machining centers, transfer lines, and standard units for transfer lines. The pneumatic and hydraulic equipment includes power chucks, rotating cylinders, rodless slit and magnetic cylinders, hydraulic and pneumatic clamp cylinders, hydraulic jig cylinders, rotary actuators, and hydraulic cylinders. Electronic machines include exposure systems for printed circuit boards, ceramic green sheet-related equipment, and testing systems for mounted circuit boards. It also provides sweepers for cleaning streets, factories, and public and leisure facilities, as well as sporting rifles. Formerly known as Howa Heavy Industries, Ltd., it changed its name to Howa Machinery, Ltd. in 1945. The company was incorporated in 1907 and is headquartered in Kiyosu, Japan.

Howa Machinery Strengthens Ties with ProDrone

Howa Machinery announced on the 7th that it will strengthen its collaboration with ProDrone, a startup developing industrial drones based in Nagoya, in drone development and manufacturing. Howa Machinery has subscribed to ProDrone's third-party allotment of shares (the amount of which is less than 10% of consolidated net assets), and will also set up a mass production plant for ProDrone within its premises.
