Tomita Electric Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells ferrite cores and electronic components in Japan, Asia, and internationally. Its products include soft ferrite cores, coils, and transformers, which are used in switching power supply transformers, high frequency transformers, telecommunications transformers, high frequency EMI filters, and low frequency noise filters. These components are also used in televisions, videos, computers, inverter lighting equipment, gas and kerosene ignition equipment, and industrial control equipment. The company was founded in 1952 and is headquartered in Tottori, Japan.

Tomita Electric Raises First-Half Earnings Forecast

Tomita Electric has revised upward its earnings forecast for the first half of fiscal year ending July 2026. Operating profit is expected to be 48 million yen, up from the previous forecast of 22 million yen, and a swing to profit from a loss of 47 million yen in the same period last year. Domestically, sales for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and factory automation increased, while in the Chinese market, demand in the automotive market, mainly for EVs, remained strong. The full-year forecast is unchanged, with operating profit for the fiscal year ending January 2027 expected at 66 million yen, improving from a loss of 61 million yen in the previous fiscal year.
