AeroVironment signs MOU with Ubiqconn to advance Taiwan's drone modernization
AeroVironment has signed a memorandum of understanding with Ubiqconn Technology to collaborate on uncrewed systems and mission management capabilities in support of Taiwan's defense modernization and indigenous unmanned aircraft systems initiatives. The agreement envisions developing and integrating a common controller capability based on AeroVironment's Tomahawk Common Control Ecosystem to meet Taiwan Ministry of National Defense requirements, including a program aiming to procure tens of thousands of domestically produced drones. AeroVironment will provide a fully integrated common controller system with access to Kinesis software and the KxM module, along with training and technical support to enable Ubiqconn to conduct demonstrations and future ad‑hoc integration activities.
