CATANA Group reports nine-month revenue of €119 million and addresses July 2 fire impact

CATANA Group reported nine-month revenue of €119 million, down from €128 million a year earlier, as the catamaran builder navigates a challenging geopolitical market and responds to a destructive fire at its Canet-en-Roussillon site. New boat sales, excluding a one-time €16.99 million inventory disposal tied to an ERP change, fell 21% amid ongoing geopolitical headwinds, though the company noted recent commercial activity suggests a possible end to the market downturn. A wildfire on July 2 destroyed two assembly buildings, six boats worth over €9 million, and severely reduced production capacity for the BALI 5.8 and CATANA OC 50 models, but polyester fabrication facilities and all molds were saved. The Group said insurance coverage for property damage and business interruption will limit the financial impact, with negligible effect on fiscal 2025-2026 results and protection against major losses in 2026-2027. Reconstruction will occur on the planned SPL2 extension zone rather than the damaged site, and the strategic 2030 plan continues with the YOT 53 motor catamaran launch and the BALI 7.0 sailing catamaran still on track for a 2027 debut.
