TWZ Recognises 74.06 Million Baht Credit Loss, Dragging Down Q2 2026 Results

TWZ Corporation Public Company Limited, or TWZ, disclosed that it was affected by a single trade debtor with liquidity constraints that was unable to pay for goods on schedule, forcing it to recognise an expected credit loss of 74.06 million baht in the second quarter of 2026. That loss represents approximately 14.21% of second-quarter 2026 operating revenue of 519.40 million baht, and about 57.89% of the loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company in the second quarter of 2026, which stood at 127.53 million baht. For the first six months of 2026, the company recorded operating revenue of 1,064.83 million baht and a loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company of 161.09 million baht, with the credit loss accounting for roughly 6.96% of operating revenue and 45.98% of the six-month loss. The company stated that this debtor had purchased goods on a lump-sum basis according to the scope of work and paid for goods by instalment cheques, before requesting an extension of the repayment period. Previously, the company had also been affected by two other trade debtors whose cases are under litigation, reducing its working capital and forcing it to seek extended repayment periods with financial institutions. As for remedial measures, the company has entered into a compromise agreement with the debtor requiring the existing debt to be repaid in instalments over a one-year period, along with requiring the debtor to post collateral at an appropriate level for future purchases of goods. It will also tighten credit approval and step up follow-up on overdue debtors. The company's board of directors and audit committee have acknowledged these matters and instructed management to closely accelerate debt collection, and the company will disclose any material progress to the Stock Exchange of Thailand in accordance with relevant regulations.
