BC partners with Accor to launch Asia's first greet brand hotel

Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited, or BC, has announced a partnership with Accor, a global hotel chain, to launch the first greet brand hotel in Asia. greet Bangkok Sukhumvit 16 Jono is the brand's first hotel in the region, opening on August 1, 2026. Mr. Prabh Thakral, Chief Executive Officer of BC, said that Accor's decision to choose Thailand as the location for the first greet brand hotel in Asia, and to choose BC as its partner in developing the project, reflects confidence in the company's potential in property development, hotel management, and creating added value for assets. The hotel is located on Sukhumvit Soi 16, in the heart of Bangkok's business and lifestyle district, close to BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations. It is designed for travelers seeking convenience, uniqueness, and value under the concept of feel good, feel greet, with four room types: Pop Deep Sleep Room, Pop Art Room, Pop Recharge Room, and Pop RechargeX Room, accommodating up to two guests per room. The common area, Feel Good Space, includes a lounge zone, co-working area, and library corner. This launch reflects BC's direction of strengthening its hotel portfolio with quality global brands, while expanding its hospitality business through asset value enhancement and growing recurring income, as a Preferred Third Party Operator under Accor's system in Thailand.

Accor H1 2026 Earnings Show Resilient Growth Despite Middle East Impact

Accor reported first-half 2026 results with Management & Franchise revenue up 4.8% and EBITDA up 9.1% at constant currency, even as the Middle East conflict severely impacted Q2 results, with RevPAR in the region down 29%, particularly in the UAE, which saw a 67% decline in the quarter. Group EBITDA reached EUR563 million, up 6.5% at constant currency, while adjusted net profit was EUR231 million and adjusted EPS was EUR0.83, flat versus the prior year. Recurring Free Cash Flow came in at EUR194 million, up 42% versus the prior year. Excluding the Middle East, Q2 RevPAR grew 3.3%, and the company lowered its 2026 net unit growth guidance to approximately 3.5% due to delays in the region, churn in Germany, and closures in China. Accor activated a profit protection plan that delivered EUR40 million in savings in the first half, and it remains on track to exceed its EUR3 billion capital return target ahead of schedule.

Accor signs binding deal to sell Essendi stake for up to €975m

Accor has signed a definitive binding agreement to sell its approximately 30.7% shareholding in hotel owner and operator Essendi, formerly known as AccorInvest, for total consideration of up to around €975m. The deal formalises a memorandum of understanding first disclosed in April with a consortium comprising Blackstone and Colony IM. About €675m is payable at closing, with a possible earn-out of up to €300m. All hotels in the portfolio will continue to operate under Accor brands under new franchise contracts averaging 20 years. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory and antitrust approvals, after which Accor plans to return most of the disposal proceeds to shareholders through an additional €500m share buyback programme.

American Express and ALL Accor Launch Global Partnership with Elite Status Match and Points Transfer

American Express and ALL Accor announced a new global partnership rolling out in phases beginning in 2026 across 12 locations, introducing elite status matching and a Membership Rewards points transfer option for eligible Card Members. Jefferies downgrades Accor to hold, cuts price target to €52

Jefferies downgraded Accor SA to hold from buy and cut its 12-month price target to €52 from €55, citing underperformance in the core business and limited scope for a valuation re-rating. The broker also flagged concerns about whether Accor's Management & Franchise division, which generates about 78% of group EBITDA, can meet its 2023-27 strategic targets, noting that reported EBITDA grew 6.3%, below the 9%-12% target range, while the Luxury & Lifestyle business delivered net unit growth of 7.5%, short of its 8%-10% target. Jefferies forecasts group EBITDA of €1.26 billion in 2026 and €1.37 billion in 2027, implying growth of about 5% and 9%, respectively, below the company's medium-term target range.
