Hilton Grand Vacations Board Approves New $600 Million Share Repurchase Plan

Hilton Grand Vacations Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has approved a new two-year share repurchase plan authorizing the company to repurchase up to $600 million of its outstanding common stock. The new plan will commence once the existing two-year repurchase plan, approved in July 2025 for up to $600 million, is fully completed; as of August 17, 2026, approximately $61 million remained under that 2025 plan. President and CFO Dan Mathewes said the company has repurchased more than 60 million shares since 2018, returning over $2.5 billion to shareholders, and that the new authorization reinforces its commitment to long-term shareholder value. Repurchases may be made in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, and the plan does not obligate the company to repurchase any specific amount and may be suspended or discontinued at any time.

Hilton Grand Vacations Misses Q2 Estimates on Sales Execution Issues and Product Mix Shift

Hilton Grand Vacations reported second-quarter revenue of $1.36 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $0.89, missing analyst estimates of $1.40 billion and $1.01 respectively. Management attributed the shortfall to sales execution problems at high-volume locations like Orlando and Myrtle Beach, as well as a shift in product mix toward lower-margin trust transactions and new buyer sales. Despite the miss, tour volume grew 6% year-over-year to 239,000, and new buyer transactions saw high single-digit growth. The company expects corrective actions, including new sales leadership and targeted training, to improve performance in the second half of the year while maintaining cost discipline to support margins.
